Developing the capacity of environmental NGOs, through transfer of best practices from NGOs in the EU25The overall objective of the programme is to assist NGOs in the beneficiary countries to develop their full potential as partners in the implementation of environmental policy. It will work to transfer some of the best practice of EU25 environmental NGOs to the beneficiary countries' NGOs, through a programme of grants for short-term twinning between EU25 and the beneficiary countries' NGOs and capacity exchange programmes. Priority will be given to projects that are intended to develop basic skills, rather than addressing a particular issue. Such skills could include working with industry, attracting funds, collaboration with sectoral ministries and environment ministries, project management, communication to the public and motivating of volunteers. Projects must be implemented primarily through exchange programmes and twinning arrangements. Priority will be given to projects where the lead applicant can demonstrate its future potential, in terms of a wide scope of activities and in terms of a large target audience. Furthermore priority will be given to projects where the lead applicant has a real need for external assistance, and is not already receiving extensive support from EU25 NGOs. The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is EUR 480,000. The Contracting Authority reserves the right not to award all available funds. Size of grants
Any grant awarded under this programme must fall between the following minimum and maximum amounts:
